In the past Punawale was a sleepy, ignored suburb on the periphery of Pune, and quite literally nothing short of spectacular has brought about a change in the place. It was not so many years ago that the name was known only to native people and a few landowners. Punawale is now creating news today as one of the most promising real estate and lifestyle destinations in West Pune.

What has changed then? What happened that made this sleepy town a commercial and residential hub?

Concerns of traffic at peak hours, availability of additional options of public transport as well as sustainable management of waste are not new. However, these issues are being resolved through increasing awareness and participation of citizens.
